The next bencher election is April 30, 2015. All lawyers in Ontario will be eligible to vote from April 13 to April 30, 2015. Eldad’s Election Statement. Good luck, Eldad!

Chronic Pain Conference, April 8, 2015
Once again, our firm is working with other personal injury and health care professionals to host a fundraiser for the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation. In 2013, we raised almost $40,000 for Sunnybrook’s kidney and renal unit. This year we hope to raise $80,000 to help fund a new helipad for the trauma unit. The fundraiser will be a continuing education programme, to take place at The Marriott Eaton Centre on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. The programme will focus on chronic pain in the context of the threshold for recovery of non-pecuniary general damages and health care costs under the Insurance Act. The event website is: NRVMS/DSF Conference. This will be an opportunity to hear leading medical experts, representing both the plaintiff’s and defence perspectives, who will address the medical issues relating to chronic pain and the Bill 198 threshold. It will also be an excellent opportunity to network with other professionals in the field, including lawyers, insurers and health care professionals. The programme will qualify for 5.5 CPD hours with the Law Society of Upper Canada, so you can raise money for Sunnybrook Hospital and get CPD hours at the same time.
