Carrie Kennedy, B.A., LL.B.

Carrie is a graduate of Simon Fraser University (B.A. in Criminology) and Queen’s University (LL.B.). She was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2003 after articling with a national law firm. In 2004, she moved to Ontario and was called to the Ontario Bar.

Prior to joining Devry Smith Frank, Carrie practiced in the areas of civil and commercial litigation with a well-respected GTA law firm, where she gained valuable experience in debt collection, bankruptcy and insolvency, and general litigation matters including contract, negligence, fraud, construction, wrongful dismissal, and employment issues.

Carrie has appeared before the Ontario Small Claims Court, Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, Bankruptcy and Commercial Courts, the Residential Tenancies Board and the Committee of Adjustment.

Carrie is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, where she is on the executive committee of the civil litigation section, and the Peel Law Association. As a member of the executive committee of the civil litigation section of the Ontario Bar Association, she has been involved in the development and presentation of educational programming such as dinner seminars and the 2007 Law Day for high school students.

Carrie joined Devry Smith Frank LLP in 2008. She currently practices in the areas of commercial litigation, insolvency, and debt recovery. She is also a Notary Public.
