TORONTO CIVIL LITIGATOR

Toronto civil litigator Christopher Statham is a graduate of the University of Toronto (B.A. & M.A in Philosophy) and the University of New Brunswick (LL.B). He was called to the bar in 2011.

While at the University of New Brunswick Christopher, honed his advocacy skills as a participant in the Harrison Shield Competitive Moot and was the recipient of the McInnes Cooper Prize in Trial Practice. Additionally, Christopher W. Statham volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, was a tournament winner in the Law Students Society Debate Club, and served as Chair of the Moot Court Board.

Prior joining Devry Smith Frank LLP as a lawyer, Christopher Statham articled with the firm in 2010-2011. He has gained valuable experience working with the insurance litigation, including claims for property damage, subrogated claims and coverage disputes,commercial litigation, corporate services and acquisitions, and banking and recovery groups. Christopher has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Small Claims Court and the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

Christopher Statham is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association.
