Our lawyers have extensive trial and appellate experience at all levels of courts in Ontario. At Devry, Smith and Frank LLP, the Insurance Defence group is one of our largest with 9 dedicated lawyers.

We work on behalf of many Canadian insurance carriers, understanding their needs and assessing their position in the insurance market. It is in this way that we can better advise carriers and ensure that they can respond to a variety of risks. We pride ourselves in adapting every aspect of our services to our institutional clients’ needs.

We have acted in countless trials as well as mediations and arbitrations at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, as well as private mediations and arbitrations under the Arbitrations Act, 1991.

Our goal is to achieve quickly satisfactory results for our clients with the minimum amount of expense. This means taking the time to understand needs and come up with creative solutions to the problem.

We have the experience, the breadth and the depth to promise and deliver success in the casualty area. Our skilled lawyers have extensive court experience and our less seasoned lawyers are well equipped to take on smaller claims more cost effectively.
