Immigration lawyer Syed Nizami is an associate at Devry Smith Frank LLP (“DSF”). Prior to joining DSF as a lawyer, he articled in the firm in 2018.

Syed provides legal advice in all aspects of Canadian immigration law to individuals and businesses alike. He understands that the immigration process can be challenging to navigate without experienced legal guidance. He is passionate about helping qualified immigrants including professionals, self-employed, entrepreneurs and investors successfully enter and settle in Canada. Syed is also able to assist corporations in the implementation of successful migration strategies for managerial, executive and technical workers.

Syed holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Philosophy with a distinction from the University of Toronto, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List during the last two years of his academic studies. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Thompson Rivers University and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.

Syed has experience in handling a wide variety of immigration related matters including compliance reviews, temporary and permanent residency applications and Canadian citizenship applications. Syed also has experience in dealing with family class sponsorships, Super Visas for parents and grandparents, Express Entry applications (Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)), Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) applications, litigation of denied applications as well as enforcement and admissibility matters.
