Cory is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal where he obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) degree. He is also a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he earned his Master of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry. Cory graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School (LL.B.) in 2008.
Before his law career, Cory worked for several years as a consulting engineer with an emphasis on the design of water treatment technologies.
Cory articled at a prominent Toronto patent litigation firm and was called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2009.
Cory previously worked at DSF as a summer student in 2006.
Cory is the co-author of several publications including: “Healing Fair Dealing”, “Defining the Indefinable: What Works are Protected by Copyright”, “Membrane Bioreactors”, and “Immersed Membrane Ultrafiltration for Tertiary Treatment of Sewage Effluent”.
Cory is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian/Ontario Bar Association and the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario. He has volunteer experience with Pro Bono Students of Canada working for Lake Ontario Waterkeeper. In his spare time, Cory enjoys running, reading, and digital photography.
