David G. Lavkulik, B.A., LL.B.
Civil Litigation, Insurance Defence, Personal Injury Litigation
David graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Economics and from the University of Victoria Law School in Victoria, British Columbia. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1995.
David has been practicing Civil Litigation since graduating from Law School in 1993, and has gained extensive experience in the areas of personal injury and insurance litigation, commercial litigation, estates litigation, real estate litigation and professional negligence, with an emphasis on personal injury and insurance litigation, including claims in tort, bodily injury, accident benefits, medical malpractice, sexual abuse, as well as insurance products liability and coverage issues.
David’s experience provides him with a valuable insight into the perspective of the other side, and facilitates speedy, cost-effective resolution of claims. He is distinguished by his ability to take on and turn around even the most challenging cases in situations where previous counsel have been unable to achieve any results, thereby demonstrating that David’s dedication, attention to detail and emphasis on quality work achieves the best possible result for his clients.
David has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, Ontario Court of Appeal and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, having appeared at the trial, arbitration and appellate levels.
David is also interested in music. As an always aspiring musician/singer-songwriter, he has been practicing music much longer than law (since 1972). He is currently branching out further with those aspirations by developing a specialty in Entertainment Law, and Artist Development/Management, seeking hit records and recording contracts not only for his own band (LittleJackieWright.com) but for selective musician-clients as well.
