Devry Smith Frank LLP Toronto lawyer David Schell completed his Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Windsor in 2002 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004. David became a partner of the firm in 2014.

David has experience in a variety of litigation areas and has appeared as counsel before both judge and jury in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. He has also appeared and argued before the Court of Appeal for Ontario. In addition, David has frequently attended as counsel at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario as well as several other boards and tribunals, including the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal and the Pension Appeal Board.

His current practice focuses on plaintiff personal injury matters, where he represents people who have suffered serious personal injuries arising from motor vehicle collisions, slip and falls, medical malpractice and professional negligence. David also handles no-fault accident benefit claims and health and disability claims on behalf of individuals who are injured or disabled.

In addition to being a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, David was called to the New York State Bar in 2004. He is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar Association. David is also involved with numerous organizations that assist those who are disabled and who have suffered serious personal injury.
