Disability in the Workplace & Disability Discrimination in Toronto

In this video, Marty Rabinovitch, a Toronto employment lawyer talks about disability in the workplace and disability discrimination in Toronto for human resources professionals.

This video focuses in on what employers should do when an employee advises the employer of a medical condition that may require the employer to modify the job functions to accommodate the disability. As this would involve both the human rights code and also the human rights act, employers in Ontario should seek legal advise.

He provides an overview of employee human rights in the work place and what employers obligations are to accommodate employees that have been stricken with a with disability.

Marty will outline what documents are needed and what questions you can ask and which you cannot ask about the medical condition or disability.
