Toronto Franchise Lawyer Elisabeth Colson received her honours B.A. in Political Science from McGill University, and received her law degree in 1989. While at law school at Universite de Montreal, she was an award winner for the Jessup Cup Moot Court Competition. Elisabeth is a member of the Ontario and Quebec bars and fluently bilingual in English and French.

Prior to joining Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF), Elisabeth held the position of Vice-President, Legal Affairs for an international franchisor. She advises on franchise, licensing and distribution law and has provided all necessary legal services to franchisees in all stages of the franchise system, from entering a start-up franchise system to the sale of their franchise rights. As a franchise lawyer, Elisabeth has represented franchisees in several sectors, including the personal grooming, retail and fast food industries.
