TORONTO COMMERCIAL LITIGATION LAWYER

Commercial litigator Christopher Statham is a graduate of the University of Toronto (B.A. & M.A in Philosophy) and the University of New Brunswick (LL.B). He completed his articles with Devry Smith Frank LLP and was called to the bar in 2011.

While at the University of New Brunswick Christopher, honed his advocacy skills as a participant in the Harrison Shield Competitive Moot and was the recipient of the McInnes Cooper Prize in Trial Practice. Additionally, he volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, was a tournament winner in the Law Students Society Debate Club, and served as Chair of the Moot Court Board.

Christopher maintains a broad commercial litigation practise acting for individuals and businesses of all sizes. His practice includes construction litigation, insurance litigation, employment law, employee fraud & fraud recovery, real estate litigation, shareholder disputes, complex commercial matters, landlord & tenant matters and contract disputes. Toronto Commercial Litigation Lawyer Christopher Statham takes a client-focused approach to all litigation matters, placing a strong emphasis on finding practical solutions to his client’s legal problems while at the same time maintaining a strong commitment to advocacy, both in and out of the courtroom.

Christopher Statham frequently appears before Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has also appeared before the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Federal Court of Canada, the Tax Court of Canada, the Small Claims Court, the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board and the Ontario Ministry of Labour.
