Jodi practices in the area of insurance defence litigation. She received an Honours B.A. from York University in 1997, and her LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 2000. She was called to the Bar in 2002, and joined DSF at that time. Jodi has been a partner with DSF since 2014.

Jodi has extensive experience with bodily injury claims, particularly in the context of motor vehicle accidents. She has dealt with a full range of both tort and accident benefits claims.

Insurance issues in which Jodi has been involved include uninsured/unidentified and underinsured claims, coverage issues, fatalities, future income loss and future care claims, structured settlements and claims of minors and other parties under a disability, homeowner’s policies, property claims, occupier’s liability and products liability and bad faith claims.

Jodi has also dealt with accident benefits matters which have included issues such as income replacement benefits, non-earner benefits, post two year benefits, caregiver benefits, attendant care benefits, medical and rehabilitation benefits, housekeeping and home maintenance expenses, catastrophic designations, and special award claims.

Jodi has extensive experience in the Superior Court of Justice, assisting with both jury and non-jury trials. She has appeared at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and has been counsel at numerous private mediations.
