Riva Minhas, B.A.(Hons.), LL.B.

Civil Litigation, Insurance Defence

Riva is a graduate of the University of Toronto where she received her Honours B.A. in Political Science. She obtained her LL.B. in 2003 from the University of Windsor, where she worked as a case worker with Legal Assistance of Windsor for a period of eight months during her legal studies, gaining extensive hands on legal experience. She also volunteered at the University’s Community Legal Services clinic and was an active member of the University’s association Women and The Law.

Riva was called to the Bar in July 2004 upon her completion of the Bar Admission Course in Windsor, and following her articling term at Devry, Smith & Frank LLP.

Riva currently practices in the area of insurance defence litigation, as well as personal injury and general litigation.

Riva is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association.
