Cory Schneider,

Cory is a graduate of McGill University where he obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) degree. He is also a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he earned his Master of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry. Cory subsequently attained his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School where he graduated in 2008. Cory is also a registered trade-mark agent.

Cory articled at a prominent Toronto intellectual property boutique and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009. Before his law career, Cory worked for several years as a consulting engineer with an emphasis on the design of water treatment technologies.

Cory provides his clients with all manner of IP transactional support, including the prosecution of trade-marks, advising corporate clients on patent issues, assisting clients in the drafting of patent applications, and preparation of IP licensing agreements. Cory also advises clients on the protection of all forms of intellectual property rights and counsels them on enforcing their rights and defending against allegations of infringement.

Cory is the co-author of several publications including: “Healing Fair Dealing”, “Defining the Indefinable: What Works are Protected by Copyright”, “Membrane Bioreactors”, and “Immersed Membrane Ultrafiltration for Tertiary Treatment of Sewage Effluent”.

Cory is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian/Ontario Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Toronto Intellectual Property Group, and the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario.
