International Competition for Mediation Advocacy

George Frank participated as a judge and mediator in the 2013 International Competition for Mediation Advocacy (“ICMA”) held March 12th to 15th at Osgoode Hall in Toronto. The ICMA is an international competition for law students seeking to improve their mediation skills. This year’s competition featured teams from 14 law schools in Canada and The United States. Canadian teams were fielded by The University of Ottawa, The University of Saskatchewan, McGill University, The University of Toronto, The University of Victoria and Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. The competition has had participants from as far away as India.

Judges and mediators for the ICMA competition are drawn from experienced mediators in Canada and The United States. This is the third year that George has participated as a judge and mediator in the competition, and it represents a significant honour to have been invited to participate three years in a row.
