Jodi Herszkowicz is a Barrie, Durham and Toronto Mediator at Devry Smith Frank LLP. Jodi’s experience practicing in both plaintiff and defense claims provides her with the unique ability to understand all sides of a case. This assists her not only to be impartial in her mediating efforts, but gives her the ability to lead, guide and negotiate for all involved. Her positive attitude in roundtable discussions allows those involved to voice their positions and be heard.
Jodi keeps communication lines open so that every reasonable effort is made to reach a settlement. Providing a positive experience for all involved is paramount. Her goal is to have everyone walking away from the experience having achieved something.
After graduating from The University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law in 2000 and being called to the Bar in 2002, Jodi has built a successful practice primarily in personal injury litigation at Devry Smith Frank LLP. Jodi’s success led to her becoming a partner in 2014.
Her experience in claims covers bodily injury, coverage issues and uninsured/underinsured and unidentified situations. Her experience with motor vehicle accidents encompasses both the tort and A/B sides. Jodi has extensive experience in the Superior Court of Justice assisting in jury and non-jury trials and has appeared at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
Jodi has dealt with many multi party actions in which a strong mediator is required to ensure a successful client experience is achieved. Her mediation experience can certainly assist in resolving the most difficult of claims.
