What is Planning and Development Law?

DSF provides a range of services in the areas of planning and development law, aggregate extraction, and municipal law. Our planning and development group incorporates lawyers with expertise in planning, land development, condominiums, OMB, real estate and litigation.

DSF has particular expertise dealing with matters relating to aggregates and aggregate extraction. We can help clients navigate the maze of statutory and regulatory requirements relating to resource extraction. DSF’s lawyers are members of the Ontario Stone, Sand and Gravel Association and have extensive experience and success with license applications under the Aggregate Resources Act.

Aggregate Extraction

DSF has particular expertise dealing with issues on aggregates and aggregate extraction. DSF’s lawyers have extensive experience and success with license applications under the Aggregate Resources Act and environmental assessments, as well as hearings before the Environmental Assessment Board, the Environmental Review Tribunal, the Consolidated Hearing Board and the Ontario Municipal Board. We can also advise on applications for Judicial Review.
