Aggregate Resource Extraction Lawyer

Construction lawyer Christopher Statham completed his articles with Devry Smith Frank LLP in 2010-2011 and was called to the bar in 2011.

His practice is focused primarily on commercial litigation, including construction liens.

As a member of our construction law group, Christopher has gained experience dealing with lien claims, trust claims under the Construction Lien Act, contract disputes, claims of defective workmanship, claims involving priority disputes with mortgages, set-off claims and collection claims.

He has dealt with retaining, instructing and examining experts in relation to building defects and building component failure and has prosecuted and defended a variety of claims involving ventilation and exhaust systems, heating and cooling systems, interior and exterior finishes, electrical work, and other construction projects.

Christopher has appeared before Ontario Superior Court of Justice, including the Construction Lien Court, the Small Claims Court, the Ontario Ministry of Labour and the Tax Court of Canada.

He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association.
