Jodi was called to the Ontario Bar in February 2002 after obtaining her law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2000. She also holds an Honours B.A in anthropology with a specific interest in archaeology, from York University.
Jodi articled at a plaintiff firm where she received exposure to various practice areas including civil litigation. Jodi was involved in various personal injury litigation matters including: medical malpractice claims, and occupier’s liability claims.
Jodi joined Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF) in 2002 and she has practiced primarily in the area of personal injury litigation since that time. She has also had experience with commercial litigation, debt recovery and secured debt enforcement. Jodi currently practices in the area of insurance defence litigation, and has experience with claims involving bodily injury, coverage issues, and motor vehicle accidents dealing with both tort and accident benefits claims. She also has experience with uninsured/unidentified and underinsured claims.
Jodi has extensive experience in the Superior Court of Justice, assisting with both jury and non-jury trials, and she has appeared at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. She has also been counsel at numerous private mediations.
Jodi is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, and is also a Notary Public.
