Linda Noorafkan joined Devry Smith Frank LLP as an articling student in August 2019.
Linda obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D) from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019. In 2015, Linda obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a Member of the Dean’s Honour Roll. At Osgoode Hall Law School, Linda received several awards for her academic excellence, including the Ursel Phillips Fellows Hopkinson LLP Prize and the Charles Edward Woodrow Award. Linda was also awarded the Osgoode Hall Law School Equity Entrance Award.
As a law student at Osgoode Hall Law School, Linda was involved in numerous extracurricular activities, including serving as the: President of the Osgoode Hall Family Law Association for two consecutive years; Communications Director for the Osgoode Environmental Law Society; Social Media and Outreach Coordinator for Obiter Dicta; and Intake Volunteer for the Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP). Linda was a law student in the Intensive Program in Poverty Law, where she was a caseworker in the Social Assistance, Violence, and Health Division at Parkdale Community Legal Services. Linda was also a law student in the Feminist Advocacy: Ending Violence Against Women Clinical Program at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic. Linda also gained extensive legal work experience, including as a research assistant.
Linda is interested in a number of different practice areas, including Real Estate, Family Law, Personal Injury, Wills and Estates, Immigration, Employment and Labour, Criminal Law, Human Rights, and Litigation.
Outside of the office, Linda enjoys watching documentaries, cooking (and trying) diverse foods, interior design, and spending time with her cat.
Linda speaks English and Farsi.
